Concrete Waterproofing

Why Concrete Waterproofing Matters

Concrete, while strong and versatile, is inherently porous, making it susceptible to moisture intrusion. This can lead to significant problems, including structural degradation, efflorescence, corrosion of embedded steel, and ultimately, compromised structural integrity. Proper waterproofing not only prevents these issues but also reduces long-term maintenance costs, helping to preserve your investment and ensure safe, resilient structures.

  • Longevity: Our resin material forms a permanent bond with the substrate, ensuring lines that stand the test of time.
  • Durability: Designed to withstand the heavy-duty traffic of trucks, forklifts, and exposure to harsh chemicals, our lines maintain their integrity in even the toughest conditions.
  • High Visibility: Our markings are brighter and more resilient, maintaining visibility even under heavy wear and tear.
  • Safety: Permanent lines offer clear and consistent demarcation, improving safety and operational efficiency across your facility.

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Protect your concrete investment by getting in touch with us.

Areas of Application for Concrete Waterproofing

We provide comprehensive concrete waterproofing solutions for a variety of applications, ensuring that each project's specific needs are met:

Suspended Concrete Slabs

Essential for preventing water infiltration in high-rise buildings and protecting lower levels from moisture.

High-Rise Buildings

Our waterproofing solutions are designed to withstand the movement and temperature fluctuations typical in high-rise structures, ensuring long-term performance.

Car Parks

We offer heavy-duty waterproofing solutions that can withstand vehicle traffic, chemical exposure, and outdoor weathering, safeguarding these high-use areas.

New Concrete Pours

With our same-day waterproofing options, new pours can be waterproofed immediately, allowing for efficient project progression and minimal downtime.

Wet Areas

Public change rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and other wet zones require robust waterproofing to protect underlying structures from moisture-related damage.

Under Floor Coverings

For spaces with tile, wood, or carpeted floors, waterproofing provides a moisture barrier that prevents damage to coverings and enhances indoor air quality.

Impervious Vapour Barriers

Critical for high-moisture environments, vapour barriers prevent dampness that could compromise air quality or structural integrity.

The Benefits of FloorCo’s Concrete Waterproofing Solutions

Choosing FloorCo for your waterproofing needs delivers long-term value by protecting concrete from everyday wear and extending the life of the structure. Here are some key benefits:

Deep, Penetrative Protection

Our reactive waterproofing agents create a waterproof shield that becomes part of the slab itself, preventing water ingress and damage.

Adaptable for Movement and Flexibility

Our flexible and elastomeric membranes withstand environmental and structural movement, providing continuous protection without cracking.

Reduced Maintenance Costs

Effective waterproofing keeps your concrete in better condition over time, significantly lowering the need for repairs and costly maintenance measures.

Enhanced Durability in High-Use Areas

Our solutions prevent degradation due to water, chemicals, and heavy use, enhancing the durability of both indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Improved Indoor Air Quality and Safety

Vapour barriers help control dampness, limiting mould growth and improving air quality, making spaces safer for occupants.

Innovative Waterproofing Solutions by FloorCo

Our range of waterproofing solutions incorporates advanced materials and methods, ensuring comprehensive, durable protection:

Reactive Waterproofing Agents

These agents penetrate up to 100mm into the concrete substrate, creating an integral waterproof layer within the slab itself. This technique offers long-lasting moisture resistance, making it ideal for high-rise structures and car parks.

Flexible Waterproof Membranes

Designed for areas where concrete movement is a concern, these membranes can withstand natural expansion and contraction, effectively bridging cracks and preventing water ingress.

Rigid and Hard Epoxy Resin Coatings

In spaces requiring a rigid, impenetrable barrier—such as industrial floors—our hard epoxy resin coatings provide robust moisture suppression, ensuring a controlled environment.

Elastomeric and Crack-Bridging Membranes

Designed for extreme waterproofing needs, our elastomeric membranes offer high elasticity that bridges cracks and expands without compromising the waterproof barrier.

    • What industry are you in and what are the primary business operation/s (we have standard floors for all industries which will be our starting point)?

    Describe in detail:

    • - What do you need the new floor to do/be?

    • - What are the current issues or challenges with your flooring?

    • - What will the floor be used for (describe intended use eg. equipment, vehicles, cleaning process, chemicals).

    • - What would you like the end product to be (aesthetic, function, colour, etc)

Describe the m2 involved in the works.

    • - Describe areas that you would like to be itemised as optional. On the quote.

    • - Describe any areas that need a different finish (different colour, slip rating, waterproofing, etc).

    Describe:

    • - What is the floor like currently eg. substrate, condition etc.

    • - What damage is there to the floor, and is this damage in the substrate or the floor covering

    • - Let us know about any paints/sealers/coatings that have been applied previously

    • - Do you anticipate that the existing floor need to be removed, or resurfaced

    • - What sections of your floor will be exposed to direct sunlight (so we can ensure UV resistance)?

    • - What sections, if any, will require screeding to drains

    • - Do you need the floor to be raised or levelled (Note: levelling the floor has to do with making it level, not just repairing holes)

    • - If perimeter coving is required, how many lineal metres are required

    • - Please provide the site address

    • - Is the job difficult to get equipment into (eg, traversing steps, elevator, or across other new flooring, high security requirements)?

    • - Can the area be cleared for FloorCo to be able to complete the works, or what equipment will we need to work around

    • - Are there any noise restrictions

    • - Any restrictions on days/times that we can work (eg. not able to accommodate early starts, late finishes, weekend works)

    • - What methods will you use to clean the new floor, and if using hot water, at what temperature?
