Karri Country Good Food, a vital community co-op in Northcliffe, serves as a cornerstone for locally sourced produce, eco-friendly products, bulk foods, and artisan crafts. Over the years, the co-op’s floors had deteriorated, with peeling paint, cracks, and structural issues impacting the space’s functionality and aesthetic appeal.
As part of a renovation to modernise the facility, the co-op needed a durable, visually appealing flooring solution capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic while remaining easy to clean and maintain.
FloorCo began by thoroughly preparing the concrete substrate, removing old paint, repairing cracks and holes, and performing extensive remediation to ensure a solid and even foundation.
To meet the co-op’s specific requirements, we installed the Sentinel Resin-Stone Flooring System, known for its durability, ease of maintenance, and resistance to wear. The chosen colour complemented the co-op’s decor, while the high-gloss finish enhanced indoor lighting, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.
For the outdoor entrance, which is exposed to the elements and features a slope for accessibility, FloorCo applied a non-slip coating to ensure maximum safety, even during wet weather.
The newly installed flooring has transformed Karri Country Good Food Co-op, significantly improving both its functionality and aesthetic appeal. The high-gloss, stain-resistant interior floor stands up to the demands of daily foot traffic while simplifying cleaning and maintenance.
The updated entrance, with its slip-resistant finish, not only enhances safety but also complements the co-op’s welcoming and community-oriented ethos. This renovation has reinforced the co-op’s status as a reliable hub for quality local goods in Northcliffe.
